Modern technology never stops seizing us with surprise. Today Bring Side is going to tell you about a pretty cool sci-fi installation.
That’s a “portal” made with orb-shaped pair of screens located in the city centers of Dublin and Vilnius. Thanks to this device Dublin residents who passing by the city center can wave for Vilnius friends who stand 376 miles away like they are standing in front of each other. Therefore, this device is dubbed as “Visual Bridge”.
This ‘portal’ transmits a view of two locations in real-time through a pair of large round orbs embedded with screens and cameras. This is the peak result of research and design of five years and this project is supposed to expand to cities around the world. Soon, these devices will come to London and Reykjavík.
