Let us enlighten you on what the #BookFaceChallenge is all about. This challenge allows you to take pictures by matching your face (or any other part of your body) with the body part on the book’s cover. Librairie Mollat, the largest contestant in the #Bookface Challenge, is the subject of today’s story. It’s a bookstore in Bordeaux, France’s southwestern region.
Every year, the staff of the book stores collaborates and submits dozens of #Bookface submissions to the competition. It’s practically impossible to tell the difference between the genuine person and the book since the images are so exact and manufactured. The bookstore’s staff’s ambition and commitment earned the store a good reputation in the neighborhood. Librairie Mollat had just about 21k social media followers in the early years of the challenge. The book business, however, is only a few thousand dollars away from reaching $100,000 after being recognized by the challenge.
People believe the challenge was inspired by a picture meme of Welsh DJ Carl Morris, dubbed “Sleeve Face.” The main difference is that instead of books, it has vinyl covers. Consider this: there are around 200 million books published worldwide, with more volumes being released every year. There will be plenty of books to complete this task. It’ll last a long time and remain a trend for many years to come.
Hundreds of photos were submitted to the #Bookface Challenge by Librairie Mollat, but we selected thirty of the finest. Hopefully, you will be inspired to participate in the challenge on your own.
The bookstore Librairie Mollat began producing #Book faces in 2013, and they now share them on their Instagram feed every Monday. The employees at the bookstore aren’t about to quit making these renowned #book expressions anytime soon. Please scroll down to see their incredible ability to mix well with books. Have a blast!
