Artist Transforms Childhood Photographs Into Fashionable Tattoos

Turkish tattoo artist Alican Gorgu (also known as PigmentNinja) quit his boring office job to focus on his career as a tattoo artist. Recently, there has been an interesting development regarding the direction he has chosen.

Using a straightforward style he calls “Retro Minimal,” Alican has transferred priceless childhood memories from the picture book to a new, permanent home—the skin.

The result is a condensed representation of memory, with some details lost over time but the main components still present, clear, and vivid.
